Weiterhin ist es nicht brennbar* und macht es f\u00fcr den Gebrauch sehr sicher. Das Kohlendioxyd wird als eines der Haupt Treibhausgase (mit GWP=1) eingestuft und wird als Grundlage f\u00fcr die Kalkulation von Umweltauswirkungen anderer Gase benutzt: die Einheit der Messung ist CO<sub>2eq<\/sub> (Karbondioxid gleichwertig). Wenn eine gewisse Zeit verstreicht, reduziert sich der GWP eines Treibhausgases gew\u00f6hnlich, aber im Falle bei einigen Gasen mit einem sehr hohen GWP (tausendfach h\u00f6her als CO<sub>2<\/sub>), dauert es sehr lange Zeit, dass Ihre F\u00e4higkeit komplett verloren geht W\u00e4rme abzufangen. Dies hat zu der Notwendigkeit gef\u00fchrt, Gase mit niedrigem GWP Wert einzusetzen um die Umweltauswirkungen zu reduzieren.
