La biblioteca ospita collezioni di inestimabile valore e la loro conservazione dipende dal mantenimento di condizioni ambientali accuratamente controllate attraverso sistemi che siano anche efficienti dal punto di vista energetico.<\/p>\n<h3>Obiettivi<\/h3>\n<p>La biblioteca ha deciso di affidarsi al Carbon Trust per sviluppare un piano di gestione delle emissioni di anidride carbonica. Un elemento importante di questo piano era sfruttare la straordinaria efficienza del Turbomiser per fornire un raffreddamento stabile, a basso costo e a basse emissioni di carbonio per gli archivi e le sale di lettura.<\/p>\n<h3>Progetto<\/h3>\n<p>La soluzione scelta ha previsto la sostituzione di due chiller un po\u2019 datati con <a title=\"TMH\" href=\"https:\/\/www.geoclima.com\/it\/pro\/tmh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">due Turbomiser TMH da 300 kW<\/a> collegati a un sofisticato sistema free cooling che fornisce acqua refrigerata per un certo numero di unit\u00e0 di trattamento aria (UTA) a servizio dell\u2019edificio.<\/p>\n<h3>Risultati<\/h3>\n<p>Sebbene l\u2019impianto di refrigerazione precedente non fosse mai stato monitorato, \u00e8 stato possibile calcolare una <strong>riduzione del consumo energetico complessivo pari al 11,4%<\/strong>, con un notevole risparmio nei costi e nelle emissioni di
