Peccato che fino agli anni 70 non furono considerati gli aspetti ambientali. Infatti, questi nuovi refrigeranti, CFC e HCFC, utilizzavano il cloro e il fluoro in grande quantit\u00e0. Purtroppo si scopr\u00ec che questi elementi contribuivano in modo consistente sia alla distruzione dell\u2019ozono atmosferico, sia alla formazione dell\u2019effetto serra.<\/p>\n<h3>Protocollo di Montreal e successive restrizioni<\/h3>\n<p>L\u2019emergenza ambientale port\u00f2 a un accordo globale, conosciuto come Protocollo di Montreal (1992), per l\u2019eliminazione graduale prima dei CFC e in seguito degli HCFC. Dopo di che, nel corso degli anni, sono seguiti altri accordi e regolamenti, sia a livello internazionale che nazionale, con ulteriori restrizioni sull\u2019utilizzo di gas con un alto impatto sull\u2019effetto serra. Da qui, l\u2019adozione dell\u2019indice GWP (Global Warming Potential), un parametro universalmente riconosciuto che permette di identificare se il liquido \u00e8 pi\u00f9 o meno sostenibile dal punto di vista ambientale. A livello UE, \u00e8 stato inoltre stabilito l\u2019obiettivo per il 2030 di ridurre l\u2019utilizzo degli HFC del 79% rispetto al 2010.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-4jd272a-d1030563d03070f5c7ff71ce1e3e9e05\">\n.flex_column.av-4jd272a-d1030563d03070f5c7ff71ce1e3e9e05{\nborder-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\npadding:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='flex_column av-4jd272a-d1030563d03070f5c7ff71ce1e3e9e05 av_one_full  avia-builder-el-6  el_after_av_one_full  el_before_av_one_full  first flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-kqm60ohb-2d0ca734fd96df8611c06d3f26928c18 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>Gli HFO<\/h3>\n<p>\u00c8 in questo contesto che \u00e8 stata sviluppata una nuova serie di prodotti refrigeranti con caratteristiche molto interessanti. Gli HFO, infatti, conservano una elevata efficienza e allo stesso tempo riducono sensibilmente l\u2019impatto ambientale, in quanto le loro molecole si decompongono molto rapidamente in atmosfera determinando un GWP molto basso. Inoltre, questi refrigeranti sono stati classificati A2L secondo la normativa ASHRAE 34, cio\u00e8 non tossici e poco infiammabili. Infatti, necessitano di almeno 1000 volte pi\u00f9 energia per incendiarsi, rispetto agli idrocarburi, e la velocit\u00e0 di combustione \u00e8 cos\u00ec bassa che, in caso di accensione, la fiamma si propagher\u00e0 molto lentamente e si autoestinguer\u00e0. La nostra scelta \u00e8 stata motivata sia da ragioni etiche che commerciali. Questi refrigeranti chimici hanno livelli di GWP bassissimi (da 0 a 4) e vengono denominati \u201cnaturali\u201d perch\u00e9 le sostanze nominate possono essere trovate in natura. Paradossalmente, sono stati i primi refrigeranti utilizzati a inizio secolo, ma poich\u00e9 presentavano alcuni problemi relativi a standard sanitari, di sicurezza, stoccaggio, utilizzo e smaltimento, vennero rimpiazzati con i CFC e HCFC. Gli idrocarburi, per esempio, hanno eccellenti propriet\u00e0 termodinamiche, sono <em>green<\/em>, ma essendo molto infiammabili devono essere utilizzati in sistemi con un design specifico.
